CDMC - Feature film pitch
I was invited by Margarida Cardoso and Beatriz Batarda to pitch an animated feature film based on a novel/memoir set in Mozambique and Portugal covering the period of the end of Portuguese colonialism.
The project that was funded by the production company Midas Filmes and entered in two rounds of a film funding competition. We came second on both rounds.
The images here cover both rounds of the pitch. On the first round we were exploring 100% animation and on the second round we introduced rotoscoping as a way of combining live-action and animation.
